Two Units to One Luxe Condo in Bethesda
The Quintessential Condo Merger: Stylish and Functional
This condo conversion transformed two outdated condo units into one spacious and elegant living space with an inviting open floor plan, a modern kitchen, and a new third bedroom. By removing non-structural fluted columns and a wall between the dining and living spaces in the main living area, we instantly opened up the sightlines, creating a more expansive feel. Strategic removal of walls and closets allowed us to reclaim and reconfigure underutilized space, resulting in an inspiring bedroom/office area.
The reimagined kitchen layout features stunning man-made quartz countertops with full-height backsplashes, complemented by off-white Dura Supreme framed kitchen cabinets in a shaker door style. The cabinets are finished with stylish bronze knobs and pulls, while under-cabinet ribbon lighting subtly enhances the space. A linear brass chandelier with frosted glass orbs adds a touch of elegance. Additionally, a chic beverage center in a separate dry bar extends both the aesthetics and functionality of the new kitchen.
Balancing connection and privacy, the new guest bedroom/office is equipped with full-view clear glass double pocket doors. The existing guestroom has been enhanced with clear glass double French doors. We also created a built-in desk area using repurposed cabinetry from the original office, adding both function and charm. Refined wide-plank, water-resistant engineered hardwood floors provide a cohesive and stylish flow throughout the condo, welcoming homeowners and guests alike.
