Through the Summer Rise Program and collaborations with Thomas Edison Trade High School, Daniel had the opportunity to inspire the next generation of residential design and construction professionals. One standout moment? Guiding a young woman to realize her true passion for interior decorating over interior design. Moments like these reminded Daniel of his passion for nurturing young talent and creating pathways for future professionals in the Greater Rockville, Maryland, region.
Carlos – Blending Nostalgia with Modern Design
Carlos’s favorite project of the year was crafting a kitchen design for a country home where tradition met modernity. Imagine a space where original wooden beams and a 100-year-old butcher block harmonize with sleek, natural-colored cabinetry and countertops that flow seamlessly into the backyard view. The result? A kitchen that feels like stepping into the past with all the conveniences of today.
Erick – “Mr. Fix-it” Saves the Day
Erick earned himself a nickname this year—“Mr. Fix-it”—thanks to his knack for attention to detail and his determination to make every client happy. From perfecting a bathroom’s caulk color to fixing an uncooperative door latch, his dedication to perfection won over even the most meticulous clients.
Jacqueline – Educating and Inspiring
For Jacqueline, 2024 was filled with learning and teaching moments, thanks to our monthly educational series. These events brought homeowners, architects, and designers together to explore the versatility of appliances and materials. Heated towel racks as room heaters? Warming drawers doubling as towel warmers? Flexible Sonite tiles decorating guitar cases? She loved the creativity and curiosity that blossomed during these sessions.
Jessica – Turning Indecision into Joy
Jessica’s favorite memory from 2024 was being a part of the team that helped a client who was overwhelmed with her renovation and had many moments of indecisiveness. Through our patience and understanding, we helped her select design elements that perfectly matched her aesthetics and lifestyle. She ended up overjoyed with her new living space.

Malisa’s favorite design trend of 2024 was the growing popularity of luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring.
