We meet in our Design/Studio for a complimentary consultation. The goal of this meeting is to get an understanding of what you are looking to accomplish and what your dreams may be. We explain our Vision Builder Process, answer questions and provide you a quick tour of our Design Studio. Setting a realistic budget is crucial, and we transparently guide clients through the process in this meeting while ultimately deciding if we are the right fit for each other. There is no pressure as we are looking for a partnership with those who see the value in what we provide and understand the advisor we can be for them.
Kitchen Remodel Design Process
Our design/development process unfolds in stages. Understanding your specific needs is the foundation of our kitchen remodeling process. We kick off with a comprehensive questionnaire, ensuring that every member of the household contributes their insights. This goes beyond surface aesthetics, focusing on functionality tailored to homeowner preferences and plans.
Starting with the discovery phase, the questionnaire sparks conversations leading to line drawings that define the layout and functionality during the schematic phase, followed by selecting materials and finishes. We present a mood board and transform line drawings into 3D renderings for a lifelike visualization to give you a starting point from which to begin the selection process.
Material and Finish Selection
Guiding clients through material and finish selection involves leveraging technology. We encourage homeowners to explore platforms like Houzz and create idea books to facilitate collaboration with our designers, ensuring that the final choices align with current design trends and the client's vision.
We will hold your hand through the selection of all your many fixture and material options. Our Design Studio is set up to inspire but not overwhelm a homeowner like most showrooms do. We have many options, samples, and displays, but most are put away and we can pull out what we are discussing, rather than pointing you to a display of a thousand options and asking you to choose. We are also not married to what we have here. We have accounts everywhere in town and have access to many distributors and brands across the country.
We provide an Allowance Sheet that helps clients understand how to stay within their budget, and we constantly communicate the importance of choices to keep the project on track.
Project Timeline and Schedule Adherence
The timeline for a kitchen remodel varies based on the project's size and complexity. We emphasize taking your time with the design and development phase to ensure the smoothest project. We look at three timelines when considering a kitchen. The first is Design and Development. How long will it take depends mainly on the homeowner. Meaning, the more decisive and responsive to questions and design options presented the quicker we will get through this phase. It is a partnership, and we need your input as much as you need us to present you with a creative option. The second is lead times for materials, fixtures, and appliances. Once we know what will be used, we can check availabilities and lead times - normally around two months to get everything. Then the project construction itself can vary greatly based on the size and complexity of the design. It could be 2 weeks to 2 months if it involves an addition. On average, most kitchens are completed in under 6 weeks.
Communication
Through our project management software, clients have 24/7 access to their project details, production calendar, and daily logs (progress updates), maintaining clear communication. Clients love that they don’t have to guess what is happening next, who is coming or at what time. We keep them informed throughout the project with pictures and quick descriptions of what was completed that day and what to expect the next day.
Workmanship Quality Assurance
Quality workmanship is at the core of House to Home Solutions. With a dedicated team, including an assigned Project Manager, daily visits from our Field Coordinator, and multiple eyes on each project, we guarantee the highest quality standards throughout the remodeling process.
Post-Completion Support and Warranties
Our commitment doesn't end with project completion. House to Home Solutions offers a five-year workmanship warranty. We also proactively reach out to clients after one year to ask about any concerns, and to provide any necessary touch-ups or adjustments beyond the warranty period.
